SCHOOL DAY (8:15 – 3:30 on Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri; 8:15 – 2:30 on Wed.) & OFFICE HOURS (7:30 – 4:00 everyday)
The elementary school day is seven hours and 15 minutes. It is important that your child is on time and in class every day for the entire school day. Whenever possible, scheduling your child’s appointments outside the school day insures he/she benefits from a full day of instruction.
ARRIVAL
In the mornings, parent drop-off is on the west driveway by the cafeteria. Supervision for students on school grounds begins at 7:45 A.M. NO CHILDREN SCHOULD BE ON SCHOOL GROUNDS BEFORE 7:45 A.M.
If your student eats breakfast, they should eat first and then go to the appropriate waiting area. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:15 A.M in the cafeteria. Students arriving after 8:15 A.M. will receive a "grab-and-go" breakfast to take with them to their classrooms.
Students should be in class and seated between 8:10 and 8:15 A.M. Students arriving to school after 8:15 A.M. must go by the front office for an admittance slip before reporting to the classroom. We value every minute with your child and believe he/she benefits from a full day with the teacher. You will be contacted if your child is frequently tardy.
BIKE RIDERS AND WALKERS
A bicycle rack is provided for bicycles. Please insure your child brings a lock to secure the bicycle. ELEMENTARY AGED STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR HELMETS WHEN RIDING THEIR BIKES. Bike riders and walkers will be dismissed at the 3:30 P.M. bell. Parents ON FOOT ONLY should wait for a walker at the walkers’ gate and NOT on campus. IF YOU COME TO THE CAMPUS IN A CAR, YOU ARE A CAR RIDER.
CAR RIDERS
For the safety of our students you MUST have a car tag displayed with the students’ names on it or they will NOT be released to you until we check proper identification.
Dismissal of Car Riders is at the 3:30 P.M. bell. PLEASE stay in your car in the car line and we will get your child to you. Our parking lot is very small and can’t hold everyone if you park. NO STUDENT WILL BE RELEASED TO ANYONE ON FOOT FROM THE CAR RIDER LINE. Students not picked up by 3:45 P.M. will be sent to the front office and you will need to come in to pick them up and sign them out.
